The book gardener

This week's Thursday Art Date With Rain's prompt is Garden. As you can see, this is not unfinished. I'm not any good at gardening but if I am to have one and someone is there to take care of it for me, it would be something like this. Of course books do not grow on trees or plants but wouldn't it be nice if they do? I saw the buddha statue at a Japanese garden in a youtube video and thought it would be nice to have one in my garden because he seems to add peace to the place. 4. Lissa,

Excellent! I like how you're able to sketch your designs like coloring pages then fill it with color. You let the various shades of colors cast shadows and define your image. This is going to look great when you're finished! :)

    1. If you don't know, I draw by hand and digitally color after but now and then, I do use actual tools to color.

Thank you for dropping by & have a lovely day.

  5. I really like this Lissa, and yes, if only books could grow on trees...I'm not into the digital reading at all, I like a book in my hand. You do such a great job with detail! Thanks for joining in!! :)

  9. Oh that is so pretty. Great job. Its so peaceful feeling. Thanks for stopping by my blog and leaving a comment. My life has been changing, more like doing flips around here and there and with all that I have even had to change my yard by putting up a fence in part of it. With the fence I am unable to sit on my screened in deck and enjoy that flowerbed from the pics, the fence is in the way..so this fall I think I will work on moving it into the fenced area. At least the dogs know to stay out of it! Thanks again for stopping by, come again anytime. Back door to the deck at Whimsical Way is always open.

  12. This is a lovely image--so peaceful and spiritual. I actually like the lightness of the lack of coloration. This picture can pass for finished in my mind. The addition of colors should be dazzling.

    1. Good luck with your plants. It is rather hard to keep plants going, I for one, couldn't do that all that well.

    1. I'm not any better any gardening, in fact, I'm pretty sure plants don't live all that long if I'm taking care of them.

Thank you for dropping by, have a lovely day.
